Everyone is curious to know about the secrets associated with Ramayana.  It is believed that even today there are many signs and evidences associated with Ramayana and Lord Rama in Sri Lanka which everyone wants to know about.  This place tells many truths related to Lord Shriram and Ravana.  Dussehra is celebrated on the tenth day after the end of Navratra which is called Vijayadashami.  It is believed that Lord Rama killed Ravana on the day of Dashmi.

A research has claimed that there are about 50 such places which are related to Ramayana.  According to this research, Ravana's body is still safe in a cave built in a hill.  This cave is located in the dense forests of Ragala, Sri Lanka.  It is said that the slaying of Ravana at the hands of Lord Shriram has been going on for more than 10 thousand years.

The cave in which Ravana's body is kept is located at an altitude of 8 thousand feet in the forests of Ragala.  Here the body of Ravana is made into a mummy and placed in a coffin.  A special kind of coating has been applied on it, due to which it looks the same for thousands of years.

This research has been done by the International Ramayana Research Center of Sri Lanka.  According to this researcher, Ravana's body has been placed in a coffin 18 feet long and 5 feet wide.  It is also said that under this coffin is Ravana's precious treasure.  This treasure is guarded by a fierce snake and many ferocious beasts.

It is believed that when Lord Shriram killed Ravana, he handed over his body to Vibhishan for cremation.  But Vibhishan did not bury Ravana in a hurry to assume the throne and left the body as it was.

It is said that after this, the people of Nagkul took Ravana's body with them, because they believed that Ravana's death was temporary, he would come back to life.  But that did not happen.  He then made Ravana's body a mummy, so that it would be safe for years.

Research has also claimed where Ravana's Ashoka Vatika was and where his flower plane landed.  Apart from this, footprints of Lord Hanuman have also been claimed to be found.  But the authenticity of all these things has not been proved yet.
